The Beginnings

With its roots in Westmorland County, England is where the story begins. In 1919 employees at K Shoes’ Netherfield factory were encouraged to form a football team and compete locally with other leagues until they achieved success for themselves by winning their first notable competition – The Westmorland Cup!

Golden Time

Netherfield AFC is a club that has been around since 1872, but it wasn’t until 1945 when they joined the ranks of semi-professional football. The team played their first game against Liverpool reserves in an effort to qualify for England’s highest level league -The Football League-, and nearly 10 thousand people came out watch them play! This feat made Nether field one very proud NonLeague member; after taking home both cups thanks largely due too great scheduling difficulty with Barrow Traders (a local rival)which caused Gate heels stadium.

Cup success was quickly becoming a tradition for the team, as they had previously defeated NorthShields at Parkside in 1950. The following year over 15000 people watched them take on Watford and lose 6-0 while hosting this eventful fixture back then! In 1952/53 it happened again with Netherfield playing host; however this time around there would be no draws or cancelations due to conflict between games so both teams played one another twice during regular season before going into cup competitions – something few other clubs can boast about today.

Parkside Road saw another 500 people turn out to watch the Third Division leaders beat Battlefield 5-1, a record crowd and more than last year’s tie against Wrexham. The following year in 1956 they won their first ever Combination Cup victory as well! And not long after that there were 2nd round FA Cup matches at Parkside too; this time between Football League side Battlefield who came away with an exciting draw against them – 1 hinting gameplay involved kicking things around like goals (or balls).
